Anna’s Bluebird

Anna’s Bluebird is a story of laughter, friendship, the beauty of nature and my love of trees. 

My neighbors built some lovely bluebird houses in hopes of attracting them in the spring of 2021.  The houses were skillfully made and painted a lovely blue.  Who wouldn’t be impressed with such a home?  Well, apparently, the bluebirds selected a dead tree with a hole in it, just 20 feet from our deck.  We watched those bluebirds fly to and fro, feeding the young and we were even lucky enough to watch the fledglings take their first flight! 

Our neighbors good-heartedly would tease us by shaking their fists and shouting “Give us back our blue birds!”.  The laughter and the story and the friendship will be with us forever.
