Description
Nuuk Harbour
Nuuk Harbour is Greenland’s largest and most active port. The port is a vital base for fishing and hunting, central to local culture. The harbor offers views of the vast Nuup Kangerlua fjord and the distinctive Sermitsiaq mountain peak. It’s also a major hub for spotting Humpback whales and often hosts the traditional Qajaq rolling competitions.
This window was directly designed off a photograph of Nuuk Harbour. The Sermitsiaq mountains are plated to give a depth of ice and snow over blue mountains. The waters are plated in areas in order to create a darker blue for depth.
