What is “magic” in art?

We can define magic as the desire to use invisible forces to change the visible world.  The link between art and magic displays the hidden rules of nature, investigates the visible world, and showcases the realm of dreams and desires.

Every once in a while, an art glass pattern develops into something magical. It transports you through time, removes you from this world, and brings peace to your soul.  For me, I have my personal favorite art glass panels.  Haenyeo is one of those.  For you, if will be another choice.  Perhaps it connects you to a personal experience, perhaps it just makes your heart sing.  It may be through the perfect use of the perfect glass, with its perfect, long, flowing lines…. or just maybe, it’s magic. 

I have nature in my soul.
It was gifted to me by thunderstorms and cool breezes on a hot night,
By trees moving in their dance with the wind,
By the peep of frogs by moon and the songs of birds at dawn,
By calm, clear waters broken only by a quiet heron taking flight.
My soul is amongst the trees,
My heart lightened by heavy green.
