Poppy Fields Forever
I love poppies, yet this is the first time I’ve made the softly colored, and sturdy Icelandic poppies in glass. Icelandic poppies are a native boreal flower, but interestingly enough, are not native to Iceland. They are a sturdy plant that bends and flows with the gently summer breezes.
The most delicious background glass is used in this piece. It’s mouth blown, antique glass made by the Fremont Antique Glass Company in Seattle, WA. When the sunlight hits it, splashes of rainbows are thrown throughout the room. It’s just pure magic!
